Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek Law 4624/2019.
The website has no contact forms, no user accounts and no analytics or advertising tools.
1. Data controller
Sofia-Eirini Tombrou, Notary in Athens, Vatopediou 14, 4th floor, 115 23 Athens, Greece · tel. +30 210 646 7757 · email: st.notaryathens@gmail.com.
2. What data we process
- Technical visit data: as with any website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical information (e.g. IP address, browser type, time of request) solely to deliver the pages and keep the website secure.
- Contacting us: if you call or email us, we process the details you give us (e.g. name, telephone, email, content of your message) to reply to you and arrange your appointment.
- Preferences on your device: your language choice, cookie choices and accessibility settings are stored only on your device (see the Cookie policy).
- Google Maps: only if you allow it, the Google map is loaded; Google then receives your IP address and may set cookies.
- Facebook link (where present): this is a plain link — the website loads no scripts, pixels or cookies from Facebook (Meta). Meta receives data only if you click the link.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Operating and securing the website — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Replying to enquiries and scheduling appointments — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- Embedded Google Maps — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
Processing of personal data in the course of notarial work itself (e.g. preparing deeds) is governed by the applicable legislation and is communicated to you separately.
4. Recipients
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Recipients may include the website hosting provider and the email service provider, acting as processors, and Google, only if you have allowed the map.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers (e.g. Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases the transfer relies on the appropriate safeguards provided by the GDPR (e.g. an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).
6. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Technical logs are kept for a limited period by the hosting provider. Preferences stored on your device remain until you delete them.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise your rights, contact us at st.notaryathens@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
8. Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated. The current version is always published on this page together with its last-updated date.
